The building is being positioned as a mixed destination, not a single stop.

This page is the short public read. The dossier holds the deeper package, but the main program can be understood through the four tracks below.

Building restoration

  • Restore the Arcade shell, upper rooms, facade, and guest-facing floors.
  • Bring the property back as an active downtown presence rather than an empty landmark.
  • Include the operations, security, control, office, and support rooms needed to run the building professionally.

Flagship attraction

  • Position the National Scare Center as the lead attraction inside the larger Arcade reuse plan.
  • Pair it with themed scary rooms, immersive stays, repeat-visit programming, and arcade activity.
  • Use that attraction core to justify travel, longer stays, and stronger district movement.

Food and production space

  • Include the themed burger concept, rooftop dining and bar space, and centralized kitchen support.
  • Reserve room for shops, incubator-style retail, recording studio uses, and media-production space.
  • Treat the building as a mixed destination instead of a single-use attraction box.

District role

  • Use the underground floor for youth use, dances, senior blocks, and weekend nightlife programming.
  • Tie the project to combo-ticket logic, walkable downtown movement, and local business spillover.
  • Extend the long-term district logic toward the future riverwalk amphitheater and event corridor.
